
OBITUARY
Darla Byington
May 10, 1947 – October 8, 2019
Darla Byington, also known to many as Momma D, was born May 10, 1947, in Ogden, Utah, the daughter of Floyd and
Gwendola (Owens) Byington. She was raised and educated in Ogden graduating from Ogden High School. She was
hardworking and had a few jobs throughout her life but was most accomplished in her nearly 30-year career with the
IRS. The IRS brought her to Fresno, California, where she made home until her retirement. Around 2010 Darla moved
to Fort Collins, Colorado to be near her grandchildren.
Darla was active in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her faith and caring never failed to
inspire all those around her. As a decedent of the pioneers, she belonged to the Daughters of the Utah
Pioneers.
She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Byington; mother, Gwendola Byington; sisters: Leonean and Aloma;
brother, Carlyle and her daughter, Tammy. Darla is survived by her brothers: A.J. and Floyd, her sons Michael,
Eddie and Blake, as well as several grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Allnutt Funeral Chapel in Loveland, with
Interment to follow in Loveland Burial Park. Visitation will be from 4- 7pm Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at the
funeral home located at 2100 N. Lincoln Ave., Loveland, Colo.
