Comments: After my years at Ogden High, I attended the University of Utah.   I had a great time during college and finished my academic years with a BS and MBA at the 'U'.   The years that followed were anchored by various positions with financial and securities firms including Merrill Lynch Capital Markets in New York City and Dallas.

I was fortunate enough to be one of two partners in the creation of Franklin Mortgage Capital Corporation and a subsidiary company (New America Savings Bank).  I served as Vice Chairman of Franklin Mortgage Capital Corporation, along with the position of Chief Lending Officer.   In addition, I was Chief Executive Officer and President of New America Saviangs Bank.  We sold the holding company to the Wall Street Firm of Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Merchant Banking Partners in 1994.

Since the sale of Franklin Mortgage Capital Corporation, I have been involved with JBN Heitz, Inc. which, in conjunction with my brother, acts in the capacity as a food broker working exclusively with Wal-Mart Supercenters and Sam's Club.   This move has been a welcome relief, given the fact that the mortgage banking and securties business can be a bit tense.   The new business allows for a few nine hole rounds of golf during weekdays and a wide-open weekend.

Fortunately for me, I met Barbara Bean, an alumni (1964), cheerleader and class officer at Clearfiled High School.   We were married two years later, after I had reached the old age of thirty.   She has followed me from Salt Lake to New York City, Dallas, Seattle, Mc Lean, Virginia and Southern California.

Barbara and I had the great pleasure of having our one and only child, Nicole.   She has traveled with us from Salt Lake to California.   Nicole is 23 years old and will graduate from the University of Southern California with the Class of 2005.   It has been great for her to watch a two time National Football Championship Team during her stay at USC.

Barbara and I have recently finished the construction of our new home in Laguna Niguel, California.   It was a two-year project, but we do enjoy the outcome.

I still treasure skiing and have given my best efforts to be a respectable golfer.   Unfortunately, I have a long way to go with the golfing thing.   My hunting days are over, unless I get over loving animals so much.

I would like to thank Steve Spurlock and the Reunion Committee for all their hard work.   I hope that a lot of our friends, who did not attend the last reunion(s) will do everything possible to be with us this year.
