Comments: Following a short and non-illustrious career in broadcasting, I graduated from BYU in Communications anyway. This was followed by an even shorter and less-illustrious career in the life insurance business. By far he best part of this period of my life was finding and marrying my wife of now 33 years.

For the past 32 years I've been a teacher and administrator in the LDS Church Education System. Along the way, I picked up a masters degree from UNLV while giving considerable free advice to Jerry Tarkanian and his basketball team. For the past 15 years I have been the director of the Institute of Religion at Texas A&M University and its football team.

Ann and I have four children and seven outstanding grandchildren. The golf game is marginal.
