Judith Reid Lazenby

December 10, 1946 — November 19, 2023

Judy, a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, daughter, grandmother, great-grandmother, foster parent, sister, cousin, and friend, is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lazenby, and her parents, Walter and Olga Reid. She and Robert had four children: Wendie Sackett, Kristin Merrill, Andrew Lazenby, and Michael (Fadua) Lazenby.

She cherished family trips along the west coast, often culminating in visits to Disneyland. Judy worked as a secretary for a Colonel at Hill Air Force Base and passionately owned a dog grooming and boarding business. Her love for animals extended to her two service dogs, Koda and Canyon, with Canyon providing vital support after her husband’s passing.

Judy and her husband fostered over 300 children, adopting two of their four children: Michael Lazenby from Portland, Oregon, and Andrew Lazenby from South Korea. Amidst raising her children, working, operating her business, and foster parenting, Judy also cared tenderly for her elderly mother.

A special and loving thank you to her four children for their love and care, also her two daughters who remained at her bedside taking care and providing support. Judy’s one wish was for her children to know the depth of her love. Special appreciation to grandchildren Robert (Kelli) Sackett, Curtis (Clarissa) Sackett, and Ryan Merrill (Sabryna), along with four great-grandchildren: Wyatt, Emily, Adelyn, and Jenna Sackett.

Gratitude is expressed to Trevor (Hailee) and their daughters Phoebe and Kimber, as well as Carson Merrill, Bracken Merrill, Chase Montoya, Ozzy Hernandez, and the rest of the “gang”. Judy treated her family and friends with unconditional love, considering them the brightest joys of her life.

Acknowledgments are extended to her brother Thomas (Linda) Reid, favorite cousin Sandy Briggs, Jerry and Cody Courtright, and everyone who brought joy into her life. Judy’s legacy lives on in the fond memories shared by her big brother, cousin, and dear friends.

In loving memory, Judy will be deeply missed by her children. A heartfelt thank you for her love and guidance in shaping who they are today. May she rest in peace. Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary.
