Comments: Hello everyone. Thanks to Connie Spiers, I have been found.
Here's what I've been doing:
After graduating in '65, I attended Weber State College majoring in Theatre Arts and English, received
my B.S. degree from Weber in 1970. I met my husband, Peter Puglia, while attending graduate school
in Montana. We married in January, 1972. The wedding took place in New Jersey where I have lived
ever since. We will celebrate 34 years of marriage in January, '06.
We have one daughter, Jennifer. She is 31 years old and lives in New Hope, Pennsylvania, about 30
minutes from us. She teaches high school biology. She has still not found her soul mate, so we have
not moved in the 'in-laws' or 'grandparents' category yet, but we are looking forward to it.
I went back to school at Rutgers University in the mid 80's where I received a Master's Degree in Science
Education. I was employed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers
Medical School (now Robert Wood Johnson Medical School) for 27 years. I retired in September, 2001.
Peter taught high school biology for 34 years. He retired last September. Now we are
enjoying a small, but growing jewelry business. For the last 12 years we have been designing and making
semi-precious stone jewelry which we sell on-line as well as at Arts and Craft shows throughout New
Jersey. Now that we are retired we will be branching out into surrounding states.
We have lived in the same home for 27 years, which is located in West Central New Jersey and, believe it or
not, is very rural. We have 2.5 acres, garden, chickens, and lots of trees. We love it
here--living in the country with NYC just 35 minues away.
We love entertaining visitors to our home and we love to travel. We do both as often as
possible. Our most memorable trips are Greece and Scotland. In June we will be traveling to
Michigan to build a 'Habitat for Humanity' house, which is something we have always wanted to do. And, we
will be traveling with friends in San Francisco in July. That's why I cannot attend the
reunion.
I used to return to the Ogden/Layton area often, but my parents moved to Mesquite, Nevada about 6 years
ago. So we're visiting in Nevada now instead of Utah.
Hopefully, I will be able to make it to the next reunion.
